Unilever
Experiential New Media Immersion Day
Unilever hosted an
Experiential New Media Immersion Day in March for one of their brand
teams. The team was looking to
reach a new target demographic, the 20-something year old woman, while also providing
a hands-on experience of the latest technologies these women use in their daily
lives. PTTR created a customized "Amazing
Race meets the Real World," with
teams racing around the city to experience a variety of challenges that offer a
look inside the lives of women in their 20s. Each experience was coupled with a
relevant technology, including YouTube, blogging, picture messaging, podcasts
and social networking. A storyline with interactive characters helped keep the
event exciting and innovative, while a post-event debriefing allowed the team
to discuss ways to leverage these technologies to market to the target
demographic.

Boots UK Cosmetic Company
Boots U.S. Launch
Boots, the leading
UK cosmetics company, held their U.S.
launch on February 1st at Boylan Studios.
Media guests were greeted by hostesses in long, white lab coats bearing the
Boots logo and ushered into the press conference area, which was decorated with
dark wood paneled counters and display cases, antique cash registers, mortars
and pestles, and other props from a 19th century apothecary, where Boots was
born. Double doors then swung open
to reveal a sleek, white space where distinct vignettes were created to
represent each of the six modern beauty and skin-care lines that will be
available in the States. Editors
moved in small groups from room to room to learn about each of the Boots
lines. After the discussions,
polished jazzy music played, indicating the groups were to rotate to their next
environment. PTTR partnered with
Coburn Communications to produce this event.
