Nelson A. Rockefeller Awards

Purchase College School of the Arts presented their first Nelson A. Rockefeller Awards at the Hudson Theater in November to a sold out event of over 500 guests that raised $1 million. Awards were presented to Merce Cunningham, Helen Frankenthaller, Ming Cho Lee, and Jessye Norman. Students of the college performed and interpreted the honorees' work, and Eliot Spitzer gave welcoming remarks.

Roof-top Fashion Show

Dick's Sporting Goods launched their exclusive new line of athletic wear, Nike ACG, with a media reception at Penthouse 15 on November 1st, followed by a roof-top fashion show, featuring leading local student athletes as models.  The models emerged from behind a rock-climbing wall before hitting the runway, with the city skyline as backdrop.  PTTR partnered with Coburn Communications on this event.

Greenlight Capital, an investment management firm, hosted their Annual Meeting at The Pierre hotel. Consisting of meetings and a dinner reception, Paint The Town Red assisted in creative development and overall meeting management.

The United Nations Association of the USA

Global Leadership Award Dinner

The United Nations Association of the USA held their Global Leadership Award Dinner at Cipriani Wall Street on October 25th, honoring Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah of Jordan; and Susan Arnold, President, Global Business Units, Procter & Gamble. The event, which was emceed by Harry Smith and included remarks by UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, and Ted Turner, raised over $1.1 million to support UNA-USA's many philanthropic efforts, including Adopt-A-Minefield, Global Classrooms, and HERO.

Mariah Carey New Fragrance Launch, M

Mariah Carey, the most popular female vocalist in music history, launched her new fragrance, M, at Macy's on October 23rd.  The perfume, being manufactured by Elizabeth Arden, is in a uniquely shaped purple bottle with a butterfly top.  Mariah pulled up to Macy's in a vintage Bentley convertible and was greeted by hundreds of screaming fans outside the store, then walked down a 100 yard purple carpet runner flanked by a 50-person drum line inside the store, where she held a press conference to announce the launch.  PTTR partnered with Coburn Communications to produce this event.

On Our Feet Fundraiser

The Foot Locker Foundation held their annual On Our Feet fundraiser, benefiting the United Negro College Fund in October at Cipriani 42nd Street. Over 1,000 guests dressed in black-tie and sneakers were on hand, including Jimmy Fallon, Rosie Perez, Jerome Bettis, Jerremy Shockey, and DJ MC Doug E. Fresh. Constant entertainment included an aerial act by Mirror Man, the human disco ball, and live painting of music icons by Extreme Art.

Calligaris Shop by Jensen-Lewis Grand Opening

Italian furniture company Calligaris launched its first “Calligaris Shop by Jensen-Lewis,” a concept store-within-a-store at the lower east side Jensen-Lewis on September 14th. 350 local customers and industry professionals attended the opening cocktail reception, which featured the brand new Calligaris boutique.

Metropolitan Jewish Geriatric Foundation hosted its 100th Anniversary at Cipriani Wall Street on September 6th, 2007.  Close to 600 guests enjoyed an elaborate cocktail reception, seated dinner, and an exclusive performance by Patti Labelle.

PTTR planned and coordinated the 6-city launch of PhotoShelter, a new digital photography marketplace, in NY, Chicago, Atlanta, LA, San Francisco and Portland, OR in September. Events in each city were attended by key media and influencers in the photography world, and featured panel discussions, presentations and networking receptions.

Annual Investor Conference

Xerox held its Annual Investor Conference in the Grand Ballroom of the Roosevelt Hotel in November. The meeting, led by Chairman and CEO Anne M. Mulcahy and other executives, reported on the company's performance over the past year.
